Substance abuse violations -

In most cases violations concerning use, possession and underage introduction to alcohol, MIP, marijuana and other drugs are viewed as the beginning of a dysfunctional life. At David Knoester PLC, we have a slightly different perspective. Underage introductions to alcohol and/or drugs seem to be a passage in life that law enforcement does not recognize. One of our goals is to make clear to our clients the long term effects of these types of violations. We strive to not only educate but advise our clients in a way that helps them to keep the use of both legal and illegal substances from ruining their future plans, goals, and resumes. The fact of the matter is, there are accepted methods by which alcohol, marijuana and other drug violations can be kept private, not subject to an employer’s discrimination, to give each deserving person a legitimate second chance to correct a mistake. Call us. In most cases we can help. In other cases, we can offer support and guidance. In all cases we do not prejudge the character of our clients. Our job is to provide the most successful legal conclusion to their individual problems.

In other cases, adults who have been given a DUI or OUI also need guidance through the legal system. These charges can cause real headaches and heartaches in the family, not to mention embarrassment in the workplace. A DUI or OUI can bring the possibility of spending time in jail and the suspension of a driver’s license threatening one’s employment and sometimes jeopardizing marriages. A second or third offense brings even tougher punishments. Call us. Let us help you through what can be one of the most difficult times in your life.
